English

Keeping in mind the importance of English and to raise awareness among college students about the significance of English education, Nirmala started UG course in English in the academic year 2015-2016. The Department of English offers a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on literature, culture, and the power of language. Students have the opportunity to study a wide range of literary works from different time periods and cultures, including Britain, America, and beyond. The department emphasizes the development of analytical reading skills and articulate writing abilities, which are valuable in various fields. Students can engage with faculty and fellow students through seminar-based classes, public lectures, readings, and symposia. Overall, studying English provides a deep understanding of diverse perspectives and the impact of changing media, enabling students to explain and analyse the world around them.
